Meet the Founder
 
Modern Foods Founder - John Marburger

John Marburger is the President and CEO of Modern Foods. Prior to founding Modern Foods, Mr. Marburger served as president and CEO of Marburger Foods. Over a period of 12 years, Marburger Foods grew between 30% and 80% each year. In 2000, Mr. Marburger sold Marburger Foods to Armour/Swift-Eckrich, a division of ConAgra Foods. At the time of the sale, Marburger Foods was the largest independent manufacturer of pre-cooked bacon products.

Mr. Marburger founded Modern Foods because he wanted to apply all that he had learned in his lifetime in the food industry to a new, more entrepreneurial venture. "I have a tremendous desire to build a new, successful food company from the ground up. This is my opportunity to connect the best ideas with the best people and really create value for everyone."

Mr. Marburger has hired senior sales, marketing and operations executives to help him oversee the growing business. The Dwight Yoakam Bakersfield Biscuits™ line has created an awful lot of excitement in the marketplace. We're meeting and exceeding the growth goals that I've set for Modern Foods."
